What You're Up Against
Sand Shape Level 40 presents a 4×5 grid with fixed brown internal walls. Green circular gems and red heart-shaped gems sit exclusively on the grid’s edges. Your goal is to partition the board into three non-overlapping, fully filled shapes (purple, green, blue), each containing exactly one green and one red gem. Every cell must be covered—no gaps or overlaps—and shapes cannot cross walls.
Beating Sand Shape Level 40
- Build the purple shape: Tap and drag from (4,1) up to (2,1), then right through (2,2) and (2,3). This L-shape encloses the green gem at (4,1) and red gem at (3,1).
- Build the green shape: Start at (4,4), drag right to (4,5), up to (3,5), then left to (3,4). This rectangle contains the green gem at (4,5) and red gem at (3,5).
- Build the blue shape with the remaining cells: Start at (1,1), drag right through (1,2)–(1,4), down to (2,4), then to (3,3), and left to (3,2). It includes the green gem at (1,1) and red gem at (1,2).
Doing It Faster
- Scan all gem positions first—their edge placement dictates viable shape boundaries.
- Prioritize shapes anchored to adjacent gem pairs to reduce trial-and-error.
- Use Undo (brush icon) immediately after missteps—don’t wait until the timer runs low.
- Avoid dragging beyond needed cells; precision saves seconds in this walkthrough.
Where Players Slip Up
- Leaving empty cells or overlapping shapes—both instantly fail the level.
- Assigning two of the same gem type to one shape (e.g., two greens), violating the “one of each” rule.
- Attempting to draw through brown walls—these are impassable barriers.
- Misidentifying gem locations: all green gems are circular, all red gems heart-shaped—confusing them derails the solution. This walkthrough ensures you nail Sand Shape Level 40 on your first clean attempt.
